Let yourself be enchanted by the breathtaking Moconá Falls on our day trip to these waterfalls in the Argentine province of Misiones. You'll see how the rushing water plunges over a fault line at this incredible place.
At the indicated time, we'll set off from your hotel in Puerto Iguazú for the Moconá Provincial Park. This natural area, famous for its impressive waterfalls, is the second-most visited park of its kind in Misiones after the Iguazú National Park.
We'll head straight to the Moconá Falls, which lie on the Uruguay River and delimit the border between Argentina and Brazil. This is because the water plunges over a geological fault, the only one in the world, that makes a longitudinal cut on the river itself.
These waterfalls, which tower at a height of between 16 (5 metres) and 33 feet (10 metres), tend to leave all who visit amazed! They stretch across a distance of almost 2 miles (3 kilometres) through a natural space that's also part of the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve. In addition, the falls form part of the Paraná rainforest, which sprawls across parts of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
During our visit, you can step inside the Moconá Visitor Centre to learn more about the origins of its famous waterfalls. You'll also have around 2 hours of free time to have lunch in its restaurant.
In the evening, we'll return to your hotel in Puerto Iguazú and drop you off at 8 pm.
If you'd like, you can book the option that includes a boat trip along the Moconá Falls. During this 20-minute trip, we'll sail close to the waterfalls and feel the strength and magnitude of their rushing torrent.
By booking this option, you'll also have the entrance fee to the Moconá Provincial Park included.
This tour includes pickup from hotels located in Puerto Iguazu. However, you can also choose to be picked up at the Meliá Hotel.
You can book up to 1 day in advance if there are any seats left. Book now and guarantee your spot.
